These mittens are so much fun to make.  They change directions more often than a bad politician, but they follow predictable patterns.  The fun starts at the top with a simple mitered square.  Four mitered rectangles make the sides.  The thumb is formed in a side seam.  The cuff is picked up and knit in ribbing from the top down.  All stitiches are knit stitches except fo the cuff ribbing, so this is a project for the "purl challenged." 

Yarn: Flat Feet® Sock Yarn   80% Superwash Merino/20% Nylon
Amount: 1 set makes four mittens
Women's Sizes: Mitten fits a woman's medium size hand 8" long from wrist to longest point.  Mitten stretches widthwise.
Advanced Beginner Level
Needles:  US size 3 straight, US size 2 (2.75 mm) dpns, and size US 3 (3.25mm) dpns
Extras: Stitch markers, coilless pins, and large eye needle.
