Mary Arnold and Colleen East are the principals of Conjoined Creations, LLC. Accomplished business people in other fields, they decided it was time to follow their fiber and color passions. As they spent so much time together with their shared interests, their husbands and friends accused them of being "joined at the hip". Instead, the women put their heads together and formed a business. Hence, the name Conjoined Creations.
Mary comes from a varied background as a teacher, administrator and registered nurse. These careers contributed to her skills of creative problem solving, focus and discipline, organizational and process development, and creative presentations.
Color is her passion, fiberarts the media. Learning to dye was the alternative when she could not find the “exact” expression in fabric for her quilting. She furthered her education in dyeing by following a course of study set out by the Handweaver’s Guild of America.
Mary’s husband and their eighteen grandchildren keep her busy outside the workplace with designer pieces from Grandma Mary’s inspiration.

Colleen comes from a career in the hospitality industry. She brings her analytical background and perfectionism to the fiberarts industry. At one time she sewed her complete wardrobe, then learned to weave, dye and spin. She now incorporates all these talents with her knitting, learned as a child for handknit garment patterns and construction.
Colleen frequently says she has no drawing ability and cannot draw a straight line. Fiberarts, however, gives her the opportunity for creative expression.
She resides in Scottsdale, AZ, with her wonderful husband and two precocious Havanese dogs.
